We know that the reliability and experience of a venue is paramount to meetings & event organisers and delegates. With a wealth of experience in the meetings, conferences and events sector, our team consistently delivers a high quality environment for meetings and training.

A focused environment that's fit for purpose

We know from our research in face-to-face meetings that event organisers consider the perfect meetings environment to be "bright, quiet and distraction free". The ideal meetings environment is flexible to enable any seating arrangement, without distraction and have the technical infrastructure to support multiple devices. Choosing the right meeting space is key to getting the most out of the meeting for delegates.

All of our meeting rooms are simply designed, keeping the focus on the trainer and the task in hand. From grab rails and flip charts to whiteboards and projectors, they contain everything you need for creative thinking. They are fully air conditioned to keep delegates comfortable but also, as many trainers prefer, to keep the room cool to maximise the delegate's concentration.

From the beginning of your booking we identify your objectives and tailor the facilities to your needs, making sure both you and your delegates get the most out of your time with us. We have everything under one roof to give you the best return and, at the same time, adding value to your event.

We also work in partnership with University schools (for example the School of Business and Economics) and sports departments to develop management talent, to inspire your leaders and create maximum impact through the application of cutting edge research, innovation and enterprise.

Keeping you connected

We know that meetings and conferences now have multi media requirements as a necessity. That's why all of our meeting rooms have fully integrated audio visual systems. Speakers are likely to be presenting from multiple platforms so we have dedicated conference assistants to ensure speaker transitions are seamless. We're happy to receive content ahead of time and will prepare everything for you, making your life even easier.

We have a free and fast 400Mbps Wi-Fi network you can rely on to stream your content and keep you better connected. Whether your event requires the use of interactive apps or just to keep delegates connected to emails whilst taking valuable time away from office, you can rely on our network infrastructure. Whether using our own Imago network or the University Eduroam network, we have the capacity for you to securely download large files at high speed.

Building your network

We know the value of face-to-face meetings and our offer is designed around maximising the benefits to both the individual attendees and the organisation putting on the event. We have designed our breakout spaces to actively facilitate productive networking and to get the conversation started. We have a variety of informal meeting spaces for your delegates to have that all important interaction, which can lead to new business opportunity, sharing best practice or simply making new contacts/relationships.

10 - 15 minutes break outside the classroom is the moment where more of the learning happens outside of the course. People discuss different perspectives and you try and connect it to your own views and experiences.

We have free flowing refreshments in our break out areas meaning you're not restricted to a defined break out time. Choose from the most indulgent sweet treats and pastries or fresh fruit and healthy options for the more discerning. Our lunch service has been designed with the meetings and conference organiser in mind to give maximum flexibility to your circumstances. We work to your schedule and don't expect you to interrupt your flow because we're ready to serve the food. Offering plenty of choice, our service is designed to be fast flowing, minimising the amount of service time so that you can get back to business.

If you want to make more of your break time, we're happy to design a courtyard buffet for an extra special experience. Equally, we're more than happy to serve lunch in the comfort of your meeting room without disturbing your schedule.

A mark of excellence

We're proud to be one of only 6% of venues nationally to have achieved the AIM Gold accreditation. AIM is the meetings industry's recognised mark of excellence which demonstrates clearly to our customers that we are compliant, capable and competent. We've been AIM Gold accredited since 2015.

We use BDRC Venue Verdict as a tool to check with customers how we are doing, to see what we need to improve on and to ensure our customer journey is where we want it to be. Scores are based on customer feedback and how likely guests are to recommend us. We're proud that our "friendliness and helpfulness" and "likelihood to use venue in future" are consistently above 80%.

We also use the Global Review Index (GRI) to benchmark our performance against competitors and manage our online reputation. GRI is provided by Review Pro, an online tool that collates review data from 175 online travel agencies and review sites on a monthly basis. We ensure our staff have the right skills and confidence to deliver exceptional service. We go above and beyond customer expectations which is why we have an 84% online guest satisfaction rating.
