Loughborough

Loughborough is a market town in the Charnwood borough of Leicestershire.

Home to Loughborough University, our town has a population of about 58,000 making us the second largest settlement in Leicestershire. We're close to the Nottinghamshire border and within a short distance of Nottingham, East Midlands Airport and Derby.

There's plenty to keep your delegates entertained whilst in the area and we're happy to arrange activities with some of the following local attractions. We will also work with our partners at Leicester Shire Promotions to develop a destination package for your delegates.

Space Centre

With six interactive galleries, the UK’s largest planetarium, unique 3D Simulator Experience and the iconic 42m high Rocket Tower, the award-winning National Space Centre at Leicester is an out of this world experience for your delegates.

Food heritage

Leicestershire has a long and proud food heritage, most famous of course for our cheese, pork pies and a certain brand of potato snacks! There are plenty of foody attractions to visit in the area such as... England's oldest Pie Shoppe, cheese tasting at The Melton Cheeseboard, or perhaps a chocolate making masterclass at Cocoa Amore.

Great Central Railway

The Great Central Railway is the UK's only double track main line heritage railway. It’s the only place in the world where full size steam engines can be seen passing each other – just as it was when steam ruled the rails.
